What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Op Blender position at St. Marks Powder?

- Must be able to successfully complete a comprehensive background check. Felony and/or misdemeanor charges for crimes involving violence; weapons; controlled substances; sexual activity/offense; domestic violence; theft; dishonesty; or burglary will disqualify an applicant from consideration for employment with St. Marks Powder.
- BATFE clearance required
- Must have a valid State Drivers License with less than 2 moving or non-moving violations in the past 7 years. Employer will conduct MVR
- Drug Testing/Screening

- Motor Vehicle Record Check
Basic Qualifications
- Must having passing scores on the Work Keys Skills Tests administered by CareerSource Capital Region.
- Must have the ability to communicate, read, and write
- Must have the ability to learn and understand oral and written instruction.
- Must be dependable; have an acceptable work record including attendance.
- Must have the physical dexterity to operate equipment and instrumentation.
- Must demonstrate good interpersonal skills.
- Must be capable of passing task certifications, and powder van driving test.
- Must have a strong desire to work and have reliable transportation.
Major Position Responsibilities
Must gain A thorough knowledge of all operating and safety procedures. Tasks that may be required, but not limited to:
Transport samples, raw materials and supplies.
- Transport product by using a hand dolly and powder van (truck).
- Maintain operating log, prepare labels as required, and accurately record information.
- Operate pneumatic and other required tools.
- Operate hoisting equipment.
- Participate in Hazmat/Fire Brigade
- Drive tractor-trailer rig to move NC trailers, and other tasks as assigned.
- Bending, climbing stairs and ladders, reaching above shoulder level,
- Repetitive pushing & trucking of up to 250 pounds and lifting of up to 55 pounds.
- May also include periodic use of a respirator.
- Finger, hand, and other physical dexterity required.
- Must be able to work 12 hour shifts, and rotate from day shift to night shift every 14 days.
- Must be able to perform all job requirements in a non-climate controlled environment.
- Weekend work/Overtime is required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $15.01 per hour
