Location for work: On site at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, Albuquerque, NM
Hours: 24 hours per week, Mon-Thurs 9:00m-3:00pm
Pay: $26.00 per hour
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Two or more years of accounting experience in the non-profit environment
- Proficiency in MS Excel; experience with Power Church or similar accounting system and ADP or similar payroll management system
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Experience in financial management, budgeting, and reporting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and caringly with office co-workers, clergy, members of the congregation, financial donors, and volunteers from diverse backgrounds
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines; a “can do” attitude
- Eagerness and ability to actively learn on-the-job through exposure to new challenges, training opportunities and learning from others
- Aptitude for solving problems with creativity, resourcefulness; willingness to ask for help when needed
- Appreciation, respect and commitment for the work, mission, and values of St. Mark’s
- Background check required

Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out the functions of accounts payable, accounts receivable, donor management and payroll processing for the church and associated Montessori school
- Maintain accurate and timely financial records; conduct monthly and annual reconciliation and close out; support the annual audit
- Work with the Treasurer to prepare and track budgets; generate and present monthly financial statements and reports for church leadership, providing insights and recommendations
- Ensure that the church is in compliance with regulations as put forth by the IRS, State of NM, and the Episcopal Church; maintain church financial records
- Assist the Parish Administrator with Human Resource duties as needed
- Other duties as assigned
