FULLTIME JANITOR POSITION DESCRIPTION

Role Definition
The St. Mark janitor is responsible for the following duties, but not limited to:
- Order and inventory cleaning and bathroom supplies in conjunction with the school office.
- Clean Preschool Room
- Vacuum Carpets
- Sweep and Mop Floors
- Clean Bathroom
- Clean Cafeteria/Kitchen/Library
- Setup/Take Down Tables in Cafeteria for various events
- Sweep & Mop Floors
- Empty Trash
- Clean Gym Floor
- Sweep gym three times a week
- Mop once a week
- Clean locker rooms 1x a week
- Clean all Bathrooms (upstairs, downstairs, cafeteria, faculty, preschool, and kindergarten
- Fill soap dispensers
- Clean urinals, toilets, sinks, mirrors, hand dryers, and door handles
- Sweep & Mop floors
- Drain hand dryer water containers
- Replace urinal screens and blocks as needed
- Sweep and Mop downstairs and upstairs hallways and entryways as needed
- Wipe/Sanitize door handles and light switches
- Clean water fountains
- Clean walls as needed, especially around garbage cans
- Clean glass on entrance doors and office door
- Seasonal cleaning of entry way due to snow / leaves
- Remove cobwebs from corners and entryways
- Vacuum floor rugs by entry ways
- Clean upstairs and downstairs classrooms
- Sweep all classrooms daily
- Mop classrooms every other day (do half per day)
- Empty classroom garbages
- Wipe down walls by garbages 1x a week
- Wash classroom desks and tables
- Vacuum rugs in classrooms that have them
- Vacuum / mop flooring in the art/music room
- Wipe down tables in the art/music room
- Clean church 1x a week
- Empty & Remove trash and recyclables
- Clean up bodily fluid messes (puke, blood, etc.)
- Light maintenance as assigned
- Any tasks as assigned by the Principal
This position works on days when school is in session. On occasion, this position will work on a day when school is not in session such as a parent/teacher conference day, after school ends, and before school starts.
Reports to: Principal > Director of Operations
Pay: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour
