Position Summary
The Early Childhood Classroom Assistant partners with classroom teachers to provide exceptional care, instruction, supervision, and encouragement for young learners. This position supports student learning, assists with daily classroom routines, promotes positive behavior, and helps create a safe, welcoming environment where every child feels known, loved, and valued.

Key Responsibilities
Classroom Support
Working alongside the classroom teacher, the Classroom Assistant will:
- Support students during learning activities, centers, and classroom routines.
- Assist individual and small groups of students as directed by the teacher.
- Encourage positive behavior using Christ-centered guidance and grace-filled discipline.
- Supervise students during recess, transitions, and classroom activities.
- Assist students with hygiene and bathroom routines as needed.
- Prepare classroom materials, organize learning spaces, and assist with classroom setup and cleanup.
- Support classroom assessments, projects, and make-up work.
- Assist with clerical tasks such as copying, filing, and preparing instructional materials.
- Help coordinate classroom volunteers.

Schedule
- Monday-Friday
- School Year Position
- 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Compensation
Competitive hourly wage beginning at $16.00–$18.00 per hour, depending on assigned responsibilities, experience, and qualifications.
Support and Supervision
The successful candidate will receive orientation and ongoing support from the Early Childhood team. This position works closely with:
- Kindergarten Teacher
- Preschool Teacher
- Principal
