Position: Dietary Aide (Every other weekend/PRN)

Job Description:

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Dietary Aide to join our team at St. Luke's Hospital Transitional Care Center in Cedar Rapids, IA. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with meal preparation, serving meals to patients, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen and dining area. Your main focus will be on providing excellent nutritional support to our patients and ensuring their dietary needs are met.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with meal preparation according to dietary guidelines and restrictions
• Serve meals to patients in a timely and respectful manner
• Ensure patients receive the correct meals based on their dietary requirements
• Assist with cleaning and sanitizing kitchen equipment and work areas
• Follow proper food safety and hygiene procedures at all times
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families
• Assist with inventory management and restocking of supplies
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in a healthcare or food service setting preferred
• Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
• Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards patients and their families
