Middle School Math Teacher

St. Louis Catholic School in Alexandria, VA is seeking a faith-filled, high-impact Middle School Math Teacher to join our team for the upcoming school year.  The ideal candidate is an educator who is passionate about mathematics, loves working with middle school students, and is committed to the mission to love, learn and lead others to Christ.  

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging middle school math instruction aligned with curriculum standards
• Build a structured, disciplined, and positive classroom culture rooted in Catholic values
• Develop students’ mathematical reasoning, problem-solving, and analytical thinkin
• Provide meaningful assessment and feedback to drive student growth and mastery
• Integrate faith and character formation into daily classroom experiences
• Maintain strong classroom management and high expectations for all students
• Communicate effectively with parents and collaborate with faculty and staff
• Serve as a visible, daily witness to the Catholic faith and school mission
• Contribute to school life, activities, and community initiatives

Qualifications

Required:

• Virginia state licensure or VCEA certification
• Bachelor’s degree or higher
• Strong alignment with the mission of Catholic education
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• Passion for teaching middle school mathematics

Preferred:

• Practicing Catholic (or strong support of Catholic mission)
• Experience teaching middle school math; Algebra or Geometry endorsements
• Demonstrated ability to foster confidence and curiosity in students
• Collaborative, organized, and growth-oriented mindset
