Middle School Math Teacher
St. Louis Catholic School in Alexandria, VA is seeking a faith-filled, high-impact Middle School Math Teacher to join our team for the upcoming school year. Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging middle school math instruction aligned with curriculum standards
- Build a structured, disciplined, and positive classroom culture rooted in Catholic values
- Develop students’ mathematical reasoning, problem-solving, and analytical thinkin
- Provide meaningful assessment and feedback to drive student growth and mastery
- Integrate faith and character formation into daily classroom experiences
- Maintain strong classroom management and high expectations for all students
- Communicate effectively with parents and collaborate with faculty and staff
- Serve as a visible, daily witness to the Catholic faith and school mission
- Contribute to school life, activities, and community initiatives
Qualifications
Required:
- Virginia state licensure or VCEA certification
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- Strong alignment with the mission of Catholic education
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Passion for teaching middle school mathematics
Preferred:
- Practicing Catholic (or strong support of Catholic mission)
- Experience teaching middle school math; Algebra or Geometry endorsements
- Demonstrated ability to foster confidence and curiosity in students
- Collaborative, organized, and growth-oriented mindset
