Advanced Math Teacher-Middle School
Saint Leo the Great Catholic School | Fairfax, VA
Saint Leo the Great Catholic School is seeking a Middle School Advanced Math Teacher for the upcoming school year.
We are looking for a faith-filled, organized, and engaging educator who can provide strong instruction in middle school advanced mathematics while building a structured, disciplined, and positive classroom culture rooted in Catholic values.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver effective middle school math instruction aligned with curriculum standards
- Teach and assess students in areas such as Pre-Algebra, Algebra, and Geometry
- Maintain a structured classroom environment with clear expectations and consistent discipline
- Prepare lesson plans, assessments, and instructional materials in a timely and organized manner
- Monitor student progress and provide meaningful feedback to students and parents
- Integrate Catholic values and character formation into daily instruction
- Communicate professionally and consistently with families, faculty, and administration
- Participate fully in school duties, meetings, liturgies, activities, and community events
- Use instructional technology effectively to support learning and classroom management
- Serve as a positive role model and daily witness to the mission of Catholic education
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in education, mathematics, or related field
- Virginia licensure or VCEA certification preferred
- Experience teaching middle school mathematics
- 1 year teaching experience preferred
- Citizenship, residency, or work visa required
