St. Joseph Residence is seeking an experienced FT Cook to join our Dietary Services team. This is a full-time position with shifts ranging from 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., with an every-other-weekend schedule, averaging 30 hours per week.
You must be a self-starter, dependable and demonstrate not only outstanding customer service but compassion and patience for the residents you'll serve. It will be your responsibility to ensure that food is prepared, cooked, and served with consideration for residents' individual needs.

Job Responsibilities;
Review menus prior to preparation of food
- Process diet changes and new diets as received from the nursing supervisor, when necessary
- Prepare and serve meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance
- Prepare food in accordance with sanitary regulations, as well as our established policies and procedures
- Assist in establishing food service production line, etc., to ensure that meals are prepared on time
- Assure that menus are maintained and filed in accordance with established policies and procedures
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must possess at least one year’s experience in a health related or food service facility, preferably in a long term care setting
- Prior food service experience is required;
- ServSafe Certification is preferred.
