RiverMead, a not-for-profit Continuing Care Retirement Community, is seeking a Cook who loves creating fresh, high-quality meals that bring comfort, joy, and connection. As a Cook at RiverMead, you’ll prepare and serve delicious, visually appealing meals for residents, staff, and guests across multiple dining venues in a supportive, team-oriented environment. At RiverMead, you’re not just joining a kitchen, you’re joining a community that values respect, compassion, and well-being.
Every day will bring something new and fulfilling. You’ll:
- Prepare and serve a wide variety of menu items, including soups, salads, entrees, and desserts
- Cook for multiple dining locations, including the Pub, Bistro, Health Center, and Main Kitchen
- Ensure meals meet quality, presentation, and portion standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and temperature control guidelines
- Record cooler and food temperatures as required
- Assist with equipment care and basic maintenance
- Work collaboratively with other cooks and kitchen staff
- Support the team by assisting where needed to ensure smooth operations
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1-year professional cooking experience
- Dependable, self-motivated, and team-oriented
- Strong attention to detail and food safety
- Positive attitude and passion for helping others
