The Program Manager position is a comprehensive role that demands a blend of operational management, staff supervision, fiscal oversight, and collaboration with various stakeholders. The Program Manager functions as a member of the Crisis Management Team and is involved in the operations of the Crisis Receiving Center and Crisis Stabilization Unit. This position requires a great deal of operational acumen, leadership, and a strong commitment to the mission and values of St. Joseph’s Villa.

Responsibilities

  • Day-to-Day Operational Management:
  • Staffing and Scheduling: Ensures adequate clinical and nursing coverage 24/7, manages shift schedules.
  • Meetings and Coordination: Participates in and prepares for various team meetings; coordinates transportation needs; assists with client admissions and discharges.
  • On-Call Support: Provides regular on-call support for the program.
  • Fiscal and Budgetary Support:
  • Budget Management: Maintains client population levels within budgeted capacity; explores solutions to operational barriers.
  • Supervision and Training of Direct Service Staff:
  • Team Collaboration: Active in team-based service delivery; supervises and trains staff; supports effective team models.
  • Staff Management: Involves in hiring, evaluating, and possibly firing staff; ensures effective onboarding and compliance with training standards.
  • Environment:
  • Safety and Well-being: Maintains a safe, inviting environment; ensures compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Program Planning & Vision:
  • Leadership and Communication: Communicates the program’s vision and purpose; takes responsibility for professional development.
  • Representation and Collaboration:
  • Community Engagement: Works with community and placing agencies to maintain and attract client population; prepares and presents information for meetings.
  • Operational Policies & Procedures:
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Maintains data and reports, ensures compliance with regulations, and makes recommendations for improvements.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Certification: Qualified Mental Health Professional - Child
  • Experience: Minimum of three years in a relevant field with one year in a supervisory role.
