Job Description
Responsible for overseeing the care of a defined patient population as a dominant aspect of the role and is recognized as an interdisciplinary leader within his/her specialty. Responsible for enacting standards of practice and standards of professional performance, consistently demonstrates the core competencies of advanced practice nursing as well as defined specially competencies.

Work requires knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts normally acquired through completion of a Master’s degree in Nursing or a closely related field, with three to five years of previous work-related experience, including urology experience required. Licensure as a Registered Nurse by the State of New Jersey is required. Certification as an Advanced Practice Nurse by the New Jersey Board of Nursing is required. Successful completion of department-specific orientation and departmentspecific certifications, such as Basic Life Support (BLS), are required at the time of hire or within six months of hire. Effective January 2019, St. Joseph’s Health requires all employee certifications for Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) to be granted through the American Heart Association

The Medical Center offers a full complement of specialty and subspecialty services including ambulatory, behavioral health, cardiovascular, emergency/trauma, internal medicine, neuroscience, oncology, orthopedic/spine, rehabilitation, surgical specialty, women’s health, imaging and pediatrics.
