The Registered Nurse (RN) plays a key role in ensuring the highest standards of care and protection for children in the program. This position supports the childcare facility in maintaining exceptional quality standards and in developing and implementing services for children and their families.
The RN Supervisor must be skilled, knowledgeable, and attentive in continuously monitoring children’s health and developmental needs. This role requires the ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team.

What you'll do:

Provide appropriate nursing interventions for medically complex children.

Identify and address nursing care challenges; recommend improved methods of care.

Participate in preadmission planning and interdisciplinary staff meetings.

Conduct initial and ongoing assessments to monitor changes in children’s conditions.

Administer medications accurately per physician orders and maintain documentation.

Administer and interpret viral testing; direct follow-up care as appropriate.

Monitor and document responses to treatments and therapeutic interventions.

Ensure the environment supports stabilization of medical conditions and promotes development.

Communicate medical status updates to the Child Care Director as needed.

Notify families of significant changes in a child’s medical status.

Complete annual competency assessments.

Serve as the transportation nurse during travel to and from the center or on field trips.

Follow and monitor each child’s individual care and educational plans (ISFP/IEP).

What's required of you:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Pennsylvania.
- CPR certification (or ability to obtain within six months of hire).
- Pediatric nursing experience, including care for acutely or chronically ill children.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong interdisciplinary communication and team collaboration skills.
- Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license.
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk 1–3 hours per day each.
- Occasional lifting or moving of items weighing 25–50 pounds.
- Occasional twisting, bending, squatting, or kneeling for short periods.
