Job Summary
The Nurse Manager directs the clinical operations of a small home for Catholic Brothers and Priests. They oversee nursing staff, manage personalized resident care plans, ensure compliance with regulations and best practices, and serve as the primary clinical liaison between residents and physicians.
Duties
- Resident Care Management: Conducts initial assessments, designs Individual Service Plans, and regularly updates care plans based on resident health changes.
- Staff Supervision: Schedules, trains, and supervises facility personnel.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensures the facility maintains compliance with Federal, State and local laws.
- Community Liaison: Addresses community members' concerns, coordinates care meetings, and communicates changes in a resident's physical or mental status.
- Clinical Operations: Manages medication administration, oversees incident reports, and directs on-call nursing coverage.
Requirements
- Valid RN or LPN license with current state licensure
- Proven nurse management or leadership experience within a medical setting
- Demonstrated ability to manage teams effectively through managerial communication skills and conflict resolution strategies
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, state healthcare laws, and best nursing practices
