Job Overview
PERMA is seeking Registered Nurses to join our team as Patient Advocates. In this role, you will work directly with injured workers, employers, medical providers, and claims staff to coordinate care, facilitate recovery, and support safe and timely return-to-work outcomes.
We are particularly interested in candidates with workers' compensation case management experience, especially those with telephonic case management backgrounds. Experience in orthopedic case management or musculoskeletal injury management is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate medical care and treatment plans for injured workers
- Communicate with injured workers, medical providers, employers, and claims professionals
- Review medical records and treatment plans
- Facilitate return-to-work efforts and identify barriers to recovery
- Provide clinical guidance and support to claims staff
- Monitor treatment progress and assist in achieving positive claim outcomes
- Document case activity accurately and thoroughly
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Case management experience required
- Workers' compensation case management experience strongly preferred
- Critical care experience preferred, and Occupational Health experience preferred.
- Telephonic case management experience preferred
- A minimum of 5 years of Case Management experience preferred
- Certified Case Manager (CCM) designation preferred
- Case management experience in the insurance field preferred
- Strong clinical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple cases and priorities
$70,000 - $90,000 annually
Actual starting salary will depend on experience, qualifications, certifications, workers' compensation experience, telephonic case management experience, and placement within the Patient Advocate or Senior Patient Advocate level.
