Office Operations Manager

Northwest Registered Agent
Albany, NY Full Time
POSTED ON 8/25/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 12/23/2026

Northwest Registered Agent is looking for a Hub Manager to lead and strengthen our team in Albany, NY, located at 418 Broadway, Albany, NY 12207. This is a full-time, Monday-Friday, in-office position leading a dynamic team through a period of growth and cultural transformation.

This is a hands-on leadership role managing a small, engaged office. You'll report to a Regional Hub Director and collaborate closely with other Hub Managers and internal departments to support your team and serve clients. You'll learn every function in the office, coach and develop employees, solve problems, and help rebuild and shape how your Hub operates. We're seeking self-motivated leaders who can wear multiple hats, demonstrate patience and adaptability, stay excited about change, and genuinely care about developing people while driving operational excellence.

At Northwest Registered Agent, we believe in hiring good people and giving them the autonomy they need to succeed. We are looking for leaders who approach their work as if it were their own business. We trust our managers to make decisions, remove obstacles, support their teams, and interact with clients and employees in a genuine and personable manner. We operate with autonomy and expect you to make good decisions even when there isn't a clear policy. If it's the right thing for the client or your team, we want you to do it.

Your story matters to us! We love to see a cover letter; tell us about your leadership approach, experience, and what excites you about this opportunity—especially if you've navigated rebuilding team culture or turning around environments where trust needs to be earned.

What You'll Do

Every day is different. You'll balance leading your team, managing daily operations, and coaching employees as priorities shift throughout the week. Here's what a typical week includes:

  • Lead and develop your team – Hire, train, and coach employees to build a strong, accountable, collaborative culture. Listen to your team, earn their trust and credibility, and create an environment where team members feel supported, heard, challenged, and invested in our success.
  • Master the work – Learn every role in the office: filings, mail processing, Service of Process, compliance services, and client support. Become the trusted expert and escalation point your team relies on.
  • Own daily operations and performance – Monitor productivity, quality, and client experience. Analyze trends and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and outcomes.
  • Drive improvement – Audit processes, solve problems, remove obstacles, and implement changes that strengthen operations. Navigate decisions with conviction while staying open to team perspective.
  • Navigate change confidently – We build and update our own systems frequently. You'll stay comfortable with new technologies and tools, learn them quickly, and help your team adapt and stay productive through transitions.
  • Build external relationships – Develop connections with Secretary of State offices, local agencies, business organizations, and community stakeholders. Represent the company as a trusted local resource.
  • Stay current on regulations and company offerings – Learn filing requirements, compliance services, registered agent services, and keep your team informed.

We're Seeking People Who

  • Have demonstrated ability to hire, develop, train, and retain employees while building a strong, accountable, collaborative team—ideally with experience navigating team dynamics and rebuilding culture.
  • Can balance listening and empowering your team with making firm decisions and holding people accountable; you maintain healthy boundaries and build credibility even in difficult conversations.
  • Have strong judgment and problem-solving skills; you make good decisions, remove obstacles, and keep work moving forward.
  • Have strong communication skills and the ability to provide clear direction, feedback, coaching, and expectations.
  • Are comfortable with technology and willing to learn, evaluate, and help your team navigate new systems, tools, and automation quickly.
  • Can motivate employees through change and help teams adapt and stay productive as business needs evolve.
  • Have strong organizational skills and manage competing priorities, deadlines, and operational demands.
  • Have a strong client service mindset and commitment to business success.
  • Approach your work as if it were your own business; you act with integrity, accountability, and professionalism.
  • Are self-motivated, adaptable, resilient, and willing to jump in wherever needed to support employees, clients, and operations.
  • Can learn filing requirements, mail operations, compliance services, and company offerings quickly and thoroughly.
  • Can build credibility and serve as a trusted representative with clients, government agencies, and community stakeholders.
