What are the responsibilities and job description for the Performance Improvement Coordinator position at St. Joseph's/Candler?
Position Summary
Coordinating department wide performance improvement activities and reporting the results of the activities as appropriate. Acts as a facilitator and educator for PI Teams and related PI activities, collects and analyzes measurement data making recommendations for perioperative and/or hospital process improvement. Knowledge of new trends and techniques in nursing and surgery. Member and participant in nurses’ professional organizations. Works effectively with others, possessing tact, discretion, and diplomacy. Leadership and teaching ability. Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities simultaneously. Communicate effectively both verbally and in-writing. Recognizes the importance of being a role model for others as a member of a team. Knowledge of Performance Improvement/Opportunity Management Model.
Education:
- Associate Degree in Nursing - Required
Experience:
- 2-4 Years in Perioperative Nursing - Required
License & Certification:
- Registered Nurse License with State of Practice or NLC/eNLC Multistate License - Required
- Basic Life Support - Required
