Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):
- A ssess patients' cardiac health through physical examinations, reviewing medical histories, and monitoring vital signs such as blood pressure, heart rate, and oxygen saturation
- M onitor patients' cardiac rhythms and interpret electrocardiograms (ECGs) to identify irregularities or signs of distress
- A dminister medications as prescribed by physicians, including intravenous medications, oral medications, and intravenous infusions , including medications to regulate blood pressure, control arrhythmias, or manage heart failure symptoms
- P rovid e education to patients and their families about cardiac conditions, medications, lifestyle modifications, and self-care techniques to manage their condition effectively
- A s a C ardiology RN you may assist physicians during cardiac procedures such as nuclear stress test
- R espond to cardiac emergencies such as cardiac arrests or acute myocardial infarctions (heart attacks) by initiating cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) protocols
Education and Work Experience
- Current and valid state RN License.
- Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Current ACLS Certification 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
- Certified Radiology Nurse (CRN) preferred.
- One (1) year of acute clinical Radiology Nursing experience preferred.
- Ventilator Management experience preferred.
- Conscious Sedation Monitoring competency within 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
