Position Summary: The Dining Services Team Member supports service in the cafeteria and delivery of food to neighborhoods in a way that honors individual elders and staff needs, with a commitment to customer service. Responsibilities include:
- Prep and stocking cafeteria and neighborhoods.
- Prep and serve of hot and cold food in the cafeteria.
- Maintains safe food handling and storage practices.
- Expedites food to elders, staff on neighborhoods as needed.
- Professionally fields requests for neighborhood meals.
- Works closely with kitchen staff to ensure smooth meal delivery service.
- May support utility as needed (washing dishes, pots, and maintaining a clean work environment).
- Works register in cafeteria.
- Reports and checks out with assistant manager/ Manager on Duty prior to end of shift.
Qualifications:
- Desire and ability to interact and build relationships with elders and care for their needs.
- Willingness to embrace and exemplify St. John's Brand Characteristics of being respectful, friendly,
responsive, compassionate, innovative and fun. - Experience in food service preferred.
