Position Summary: Responsible for daily production of all Café meals, delivery and set up of special catering events. Responsible for providing the highest quality of food and service within a quick service Market Café environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Preparation and production of hot and cold food to guest’s specifications.
- Ability to revise recipes according to needs
- Prepare foods for residents, guests and staff that have specific dietary needs.
- Thoroughly set up work area or catered functions for each meal period or event.
- Have a thorough knowledge of all menu items to include: Ingredients, cooking time, how items are prepared and alternatives.
- Complete daily opening and closing prep work and temperature logs
- Have complete knowledge of ordering through P.O.S System.
- Take orders from residents, guests and staff by phone or in person.
- Serve residents, guests and staff in a quick service Cafe atmosphere.
- Serve residents, guests and staff in special catered functions and parties.
- Perform all assigned cleaning duties and keep your working area clean and organized at all times.
- Assist other coworkers whenever possible.
- Greet and serve residents, guests and staff in a warm and friendly manner.
- Provide service that is efficient and professional.
- Perform all other tasks as required by management.
- Arrive on time, prepared to work.
- Perform daily shift assignments and side work.
- Provide outstanding customer service to all residents, guests, volunteers, employees.
- Flexibility to work in multiple areas and types of service.
- Keep area clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications:
- High School Graduate or equivalent is required
- HACCP/Food Safety Certified is preferred
- Fluent in the English Language
- At Least one (1) year experience working in an environment with food production and cash transactions preferred

Body Movements:
- Walking, lifting, carrying, pulling, pushing, bending, and reaching are required in the accomplishment of tasks. Has the ability to lift 50 lbs.
Exposure to Conditions:
- Wet floors, steam, hot water, ovens, grease, cleaning chemicals and small flames.
