Position Summary: The Dining Server ensures resident and guest satisfaction by serving meals in a hospitable and efficient manner. Responsible for providing the highest quality service in a fine dining or catering atmosphere. Responsibilities include:
- Thoroughly set up dining rooms or catered functions for each meal period or event.
- Have a thorough knowledge of all menu items to include: Ingredients, cooking time, how items are prepared and alternatives.
- Check your specific section for complete and proper set up.
- Complete daily opening and closing side work and temperature logs.
- Properly reset your section at the end of your shift.
- Take orders from residents or guests by phone or in person.
- Serve residents and guests in a fine dining sit down atmosphere.
- Serve residents and guests in special catered functions and parties.
- Perform all assigned cleaning duties.
- Assist other coworkers whenever possible.
- Greet and serve residents in a warm and friendly manner.
- Provide service that is efficient and professional.
Qualifications:
- High School Graduate or equivalent is preferred.
- HACCP/Food Safety Certified is preferred.
- Fluent in the English Language.
- At least one (1) year experience as a dining server preferred but not required.
