Experiential Education Coordinator
St. John’s School seeks an Experiential Education Coordinator with a passion for student-centered, hands-on learning beyond the traditional classroom. Experiential education is a key component of the School’s mission to develop the whole child through authentic, challenging off-campus experiences that foster a sense of self-worth and personal responsibility. The Experiential Education Coordinator leads outdoor and experiential education in support of the school-wide curriculum. In addition to relevant experience and a strong educational background, successful candidates must demonstrate a passion for working with students and a commitment to furthering the School’s mission, including its strategic initiatives on community and inclusion. Qualifications:Primary Responsibilities:

Partner with divisional leadership teams to develop and implement mission-aligned experiential learning opportunities that foster teamwork, resilience, and leadership skills

Organize and lead grade-level outdoor trips in grades 5-9

Collaborate with the service-learning coordinator to synergize community engagement and experiential learning opportunities

Manage logistics, budgets, and program operations for various off-campus programs

Establish and maintain safety, health, and risk management protocols for experiential programs, including trip planning and emergency preparedness

Serve as a visible leader in the life of the School, participating fully in community events

Teach and/or coach
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree
-
Minimum 5 years of experience in education or a related field

Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
-
Knowledge of student safety, risk management, and duty of care

Ability to work for extended periods of time, including weeknights and weekends when required
