Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote early childhood development, literacy education, and foundational math skills.
- Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration, independence, and positive behavior management.
- Engage children in hands-on activities that support physical development, social skills, and cognitive growth aligned with Montessori and other educational philosophies.
- Monitor individual progress through observations and assessments, including standardized testing when appropriate, to tailor instruction effectively.
- Collaborate with families to communicate children's progress, behavioral strategies, and developmental milestones through regular updates.
- Manage classroom routines efficiently, including lesson planning, transitions, and maintaining a clean and organized learning space.
- Incorporate special education strategies and early intervention techniques to support children with diverse learning needs or developmental delays.
- Foster a joyful learning atmosphere by integrating physical education, arts, music, and storytelling into daily activities.
Experience
- Prior classroom experience working with toddlers in daycare or preschool settings is essential.
- Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles and early intervention practices.
- Experience developing curriculum that includes literacy education, math concepts, and classroom management strategies.
- Familiarity with Montessori methods or other child-centered educational approaches is preferred.
- Strong communication skills for engaging effectively with children, parents, and team members.
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques to promote positive interactions and emotional well-being.
