Job Summary
General Duties: Provides instructional support for the teacher in charge; works with students on classroom activities under the direction of teacher and/or principal; maintains and prepares classroom materials, attendance records, health forms and student files. Depending on assigned grade level, performs a variety of infant/childcare duties such as preparing meals, bottles and changing diapers/potty training. Closely supervises school children in the cafeteria, on the playground and in other areas of the school. May provide additional clerical support as needed.

This is a part-time position that will be assigned to the primary school for 2025-26 to work a Transitional Kindergarten classroom. Beginning Date: Friday, August 14, 2026 (this will be a welcome back staff event for all employees) Hours: 6 hrs./day - 30 hours a week M-F. Schedule is as follows: 7:45am-2:15pm (scheduled for 6.5 to include 30 minute unpaid lunch). Qualifications: Must have completed at least two years of study at institution of high education; OR obtained and Associates Degree (or higher); OR pass an academic assessment in reading, writing and mathematics. Must have basic knowledge of reading, writing and math skills. Requires the ability to assess situations, interpret student behavior and apply appropriate measures to enforce school regulations. Knowledge of developmental stages of young children preferred. Pro-Rated Benefits for medical and dental are available.
