As a Police Officer, you will be responsible for protecting life and property, enforcing state and local laws, responding to emergency and non-emergency calls, investigating criminal activity, promoting traffic safety, and engaging with the community. Officers are expected to uphold the highest ethical standards while providing exceptional public service.
Salary
Starting Pay: $23.36 per hour ($52,232 annually)

Primary Responsibilities
- Conduct proactive patrols to deter crime and promote community safety.
- Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls for service.
- Enforce South Carolina laws and Town ordinances.
- Investigate criminal offenses and traffic collisions.
- Prepare detailed reports and maintain accurate documentation.
- Collect and preserve evidence.
- Make arrests and testify in court when required.
- Participate in community policing and public outreach initiatives.
- Assist during natural disasters, emergency operations, and special events.
- Perform additional law enforcement duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must:
- Possess a High School Diploma or GED.
- Be a South Carolina resident who is at least 21 years of age.
- Be legally eligible to possess a firearm.
- Possess a valid South Carolina driver's license with a good driving record.
- Have a clear criminal history.
