Responsibilities / Qualifications
The Pediatric Hospitalist will provide comprehensive inpatient care for pediatric patients, including newborns, infants, children, and adolescents. Responsibilities include:
- Managing pediatric admissions, daily rounds, and discharges
- Providing care in the newborn nursery and pediatric inpatient units
- Collaborating with pediatric subspecialists and multidisciplinary teams
- Participating in family-centered care and patient education
- Supporting quality improvement initiatives and clinical excellence
- Contributing to teaching and mentoring of residents and medical students
Requirements:
- Licensed to practice medicine in New York State
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics (within 3 years)
- BLS and PALS certification required (ACLS preferred), from the American Heart Association (no online-only courses accepted)
