Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Toast, Micros POS, or OpenTable
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and safety
- Upsell menu items including cocktails, wines, spirits, and specialty dishes to enhance guest satisfaction and sales
- Process cash and card transactions efficiently, ensuring accuracy in sales transactions processing
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, handling food safely, and adhering to food safety protocols
- Assist with food preparation or kitchen support when needed to ensure smooth operations during busy hours
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining settings
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable for order entry and sales processing
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build guest relations and handle diverse needs gracefully
- Culinary experience combined with beverage expertise including cocktail mixing, wine knowledge, spirits experience, and drink service
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume periods
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and managing sales efficiently
- Knowledge of food handling, sanitation practices, and food safety regulations to ensure guest health and safety
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
