PCA

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate PCA (Personal Care Assistant/Attendant) to join our team in the Homemaker and Companionship industry for the elderly. As a PCA, you will be responsible for providing direct care to patients, assisting with daily living activities, and ensuring their comfort and safety. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans that meet the individual needs of each patient. Your dedication and commitment to providing high-quality care will make a significant impact on the lives of our patients and their families.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Reliable Transportation - Vehicle preferred but not required
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in a homemaker setting
• Certification as a nursing assistant or home health aide is a plus
• Fluent in English and Spanish is preferred

Responsibilities:

• Assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Monitor and record daily tasks
• Reminder to take medications and treatments as directed by healthcare professionals
• Assist with mobility and transfer of patients
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients
• Cooking
• Light house keeping
• Accompany to Medical Appointments and other locations

Skills:

As a PCA, you will utilize your strong communication skills to build relationships with patients and their families, as well as collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide the best possible care. Your attention to detail and ability to follow instructions will ensure that patients receive the correct medications and treatments. Additionally, your ability to assist with mobility and transfer of patients will help to maintain their comfort and safety.
