We are seeking a Personal Care Assistant (PCA)to provide personal assistance to an older adult in their home. The right candidate must be organized, compassionate and dedicated to making this person's life better. The PCA will be responsible for helping this person carry out the activities of daily living, including getting dressed and undressed and helping with meal preparation and housekeeping.
The PCA will also be required to run errands and take part in social activities with this person, such as going to the movies or out to dinner with other care professionals.
Responsibilities:
Provide basic care, Assist with personal hygiene and grooming, Assist with positioning and exercise, provide emotional support.
My name is Moriah and I am looking for a part-time personal care assistant or PCA. I currently have a service dog named Summer, so you must like dogs because taking care of Summer is a huge part of my daily routine. Basic duties for Summer include feeding her in the morning & evening and assisting me with her demands "IF NEEDED".
An average morning/early afternoon would include helping me shower and dress in addition to my morning routine. An average later afternoon/evening would include helping me with my night routine. Both morning/ early afternoon and late afternoon/evening must be able to assist me in the bathroom. There is also a very light housekeeping component. At times, I will need you to accompany me to an appointment or to run an errand.
I am very down to earth, and I would like the person I hire to be the same. I am looking for someone who is mature, responsible, and reliable. I am hoping to find someone I can get along with. I enjoy getting my nails done, going shopping, going to the movies, and watching TV on my computer.
