Position Overview
We are looking for a high-energy, growth-oriented Territory Sales Manager to aggressively expand market share for St. Cloud Window, a leader in premium custom window solutions. This role is all about taking initiative, actively identifying opportunities, influencing specifications, and driving sales performance across your region. You will lead and empower independent sales representatives while building strategic relationships with architects, project owners, and key decision-makers to accelerate revenue growth. Key Responsibilities
- Sales Growth & Market Expansion
- Own your territory’s growth: achieve and exceed regional sales objectives, securing orders for premium custom window solutions.
- Proactively hunt for new business: identify untapped markets and secure projects in commercial, institutional, and specialty sectors
- Collaborate & Advise
- Support existing regional relationships with State Historic Preservation Officers, DOT Noise Abatement Offices, and universities built pre-1950 to position our products for restoration and specialty projects.
- Engage with regional architects and project owners assuring our solutions are the basis of design for their projects.
- Specification Leadership
- Drive conversion: actively work to replace competitor specifications with our high performance and historically authentic solutions.
- Collaborate with design professionals: ensure our products are integrated into project plans from concept to completion.
- Market Intelligence & Competitive Edge
- Stay ahead of trends: monitor industry developments, competitor strategy, and regulatory changes to capitalize on emerging opportunities.
- Feedback loop: Provide actionable insights to internal teams to refine products and strategies.
- Channel Management & Performance Management
- Build a winning team: Recruit, train, and motivate independent sales representatives to maximize impact.
- Ensure Accountability: Provide ongoing support and performance oversight to drive results.
Qualifications
- Proven track record in territory sales management, ideally in building materials or architectural products.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to leverage a CRM to maximize effectiveness and document internal/external communication
- Proactive, entrepreneurial mindset focused on business development.
- Able to handle difficult negotiations while maintaining strong relationships and securing win-win agreements.
- Experience managing indirect teams and driving regional growth.
- Ability to travel a minimum of 50% across the region to conduct in-person meetings
- Strong understanding of architectural specifications and project development cycles.
- Familiarity with historic preservation, DOT noise abatement programs, and institutional construction is a plus.
