What are the responsibilities and job description for the Respiratory Therapist #8355 position at St. Clair Hospital?
Summary
Under medical supervision, delivers respiratory care services to patients in all areas of the Hospital (e.g. Intensive Care Units, medical and surgical floors, emergency department, post-anesthesia care units, and infant nurseries). Respiratory Therapists must maintain standards of performance for the area assigned and may be required to supervise the work of other therapists and/or students.
Minimum Qualifications
- Completion of one of the following:
- Current Pennsylvania licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner or Osteopathic Respiratory Care Practitioner.
- Current Pennsylvania Temporary Practice Permit as a Respiratory Therapist AND Pennsylvania licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner or Osteopathic Respiratory Care Practitioner within 6 months of hire.
- Successful completion of the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) Certification AND Pennsylvania licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner or Osteopathic Respiratory Care Practitioner within 6 months of hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of one year previous clinical respiratory care experience.
