According to established policies, procedures, and protocols, performs computed tomography procedures as prescribed by a licensed practitioner and assists a licensed practitioner with interventional computed tomography procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate of an ARRT-approved school of Radiologic Technology or accredited Nuclear Medicine Program.
- Registration and certification in radiography by ARRT or Certification in nuclear medicine technology by ARRT or NMTCB
- 6 months experience as a CT Scan Technologist or completed documented training on the provision of diagnostic CT exams
- Advanced-level certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) in computed tomography within 18 months of hire
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
