Summary
Under direction of department leadership, this position will be responsible for operating specialized equipment to measure and record electrical activity of the brain, peripheral nervous system and spinal cord used in the diagnosis of disorders in the brain and nervous system. In addition, will have responsibly to operate electromyography equipment used in the diagnosis of muscle disease and denervation to test the electrical activity of muscles. Compute and record graphic data according to established procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
- Current license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as a physical therapist with a certification in clinical electrophysiology by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialists (ABPTS).
- One year of experience conducting EMG/NCV testing.
- Excellent communication and Interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel, outside agencies, and patients and their families.
Preferred Qualifications
- Active involvement in the profession and leadership in the Clinical Electrophysiology Section.
- Prior work experience in an ambulatory care setting.
