About the Role
St. Clair Eye is looking for a friendly and professional Optician to join our team. This role will focus on helping patients see and feel their best. This role plays a key part in ensuring a positive patient experience by assisting with eyewear selection, fitting, and adjustments, as well as maintaining accurate medical records.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preliminary examination testing
- Assist patients with selecting frames, lenses, and other optical products
- Take accurate optical measurements and ensure proper frame fit and lens placement
- Provide education and recommendations on lens types, coatings, and eyewear options
- Process and verify orders for eyeglasses and contact lenses
- Inspect and adjust eyewear for proper fit and comfort
- Assist with scheduling and confirming patient appointments
- Record doctor’s notes and exam findings accurately during patient visits
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Handle minor repairs, adjustments, and maintenance of eyewear
- Collaborate with the optometrist and other team members to ensure excellent patient care and service
