St. Clair Country Club is a private, full-service, family-oriented, social club located in the West End of Belleville, Illinois, and is one of the finest golf and country club facilities in the St. Louis Metropolitan area (only 15 minutes from downtown St. Louis). SCCC offers multiple dining options in several areas throughout the Clubhouse and facilities. As a private member-owned Club, professionalism and hospitality are paramount. SCCC is seeking an experienced customer service-driven Bar and Dining Manager to oversee the a la carte bar and dining operations of the Club. As a bar and dining manager, you will supervise the bartenders and wait staff to ensure they are working efficiently and providing excellent service to our members and their guests. Other responsibilities include facilitating communication between the front-of-house staff and the kitchen, ordering products for stock, organizing wine club and social activities, and addressing member satisfaction issues.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
- Responsible for all areas related to bar service, casual, formal, patio, and to-go dining
- Ensure all members and their guests are provided with outstanding service
- Work closely with the ala carte and banquet managers to ensure food & beverage operations are properly staffed with trained competent individuals
- Provide training, leadership, and guidance to all wait staff and direct reports
- Must personally (as well as ensure service staff) maintain a professional appearance and demeanor with members, guests, coworkers, and staff at all times
- Assist the Food and Beverage team with ordering supplies, inventory control, and establishing relationships with suppliers
- Responsible for adhering to all government guidelines for proper safe food and beverage service, as well as adhering to guidelines and addressing any health and safety issues in the dining service areas
- Ensure all bar and dining areas are organized and maintain a high level of cleanliness
- Ensure waste is minimized and properly recorded
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associates Degree or at least 5 years of experience as a food and beverage manager, or an equivilant combination of both
- Safe Food Handler Certified (within 30 days) IL BASSET Certification (within 30 days)
- Independently Motivated
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
- Excellent organizational skills
- Must possess effective oral and written communication skills
- Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Basic computer skills
- Team player

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
