Functions according to the policies and procedures of the Department of Nursing. Reports the results of all treatments and procedures to the nurse.

4 South: This Med /Surg specialty unit has 30 beds. The unit treats patients in the ages of infancy, to those yet to transition to adult care. Patients treated include those with Diabetes, Cystic Fibrosis, Sickle Cell and many others. All nurses on this unit are trained to complete diabetic education with their patients and families. This unit also cares for post operative patients with regional nerve anesthesia and epidurals for pain control. A great variety of diagnoses and wide range of patient ages make this a great learning environment and an stimulating and fresh nursing role…..something new and interesting each shift!

Education Requirements
- Completes and maintains all competencies and trainings as required for role.
- High School Diploma - OR - GED - OR - Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education
- 1-2 years hospital experience, Pediatric Hospital preferred.
- BLS Certification
- PA Certified Nursing assistant license
- Computer Skills to include use and navigation
