Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Head of Maintenance to lead our facilities maintenance operations with energy, precision, and a proactive mindset. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems across our facilities. Your leadership will ensure that all equipment and infrastructure operate efficiently, safely, and reliably, supporting our commitment to excellence and safety standards. Duties
- Lead and supervise the facilities maintenance team, managing daily operations, scheduling, and performance to ensure optimal team productivity.
- Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance repair procedures aligned with safety regulations and industry best practices.
- Oversee the inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical systems.
- Manage facilities maintenance projects from planning through execution, ensuring timely completion
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards by implementing safety protocols, conducting safety audits, and training staff on proper procedures.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, safety inspections, incident reports, and equipment logs to support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate with vendors for specialized repairs such as HVAC system repair or high-voltage electrical work while ensuring adherence to safety regulations.
- Promote a culture of safety awareness and operational excellence throughout the facilities management team.
Qualifications
- Proven management experience supervising facilities maintenance teams in an industrial or commercial environment.
- Expertise in electrical systems including high voltage and low voltage troubleshooting using schematics and Ohmmeters.
- Familiarity with HVAC system repair, plumbing system maintenance, and electrical troubleshooting techniques.
- Proficiency in project management principles to plan, execute, and oversee maintenance projects effectively.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations along with the ability to enforce safety protocols across teams.
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and team leadership.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with supervising experience managing diverse teams.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining accurate records of all maintenance activities.
- Oversight of 2-4 part time costodians work routines in a church environment
- Facilities in oversite primarily in oversite of the church and school structures.
- Interaction with church and school staff as well children and occasional parent
