- Perform comprehensive cleaning of patient rooms, hallways, restrooms, offices, and common areas using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment
- Ensure all surfaces, floors, windows, and fixtures are sanitized and maintained to high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
- Follow established protocols for waste disposal, linen handling, and environmental sanitation in accordance with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) guidelines
- Conduct routine floor care including sweeping, mopping, buffing, and carpet cleaning to preserve flooring integrity
- Maintain cleanliness of medical equipment and supplies in compliance with hospital or facility standards
- Document cleaning activities accurately in logs or digital systems as required
- Adhere to safety procedures related to chemical handling, use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and infection control practices
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in healthcare settings or commercial environments preferred
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards related to cleaning chemicals and procedures
- Experience with environmental services or hospital housekeeping is highly advantageous
- Knowledge of proper sanitation techniques for medical or sensitive environments is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to operate cleaning machinery such as floor buffers or carpet extractors
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
