Job Title: EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Department: Administration
Reports to: Executive Director reports to the St. Anthony School Programs Board of Trustees and the Diocese of Pittsburgh
Primary Functions: The Executive Director sets the overall direction of the Organization in accordance with the established goals and objectives of the operation. The role requires a dynamic individual who can balance strategic vision with hands-on management to ensure the Organization remains financially stable, operationally efficient, and Mission focused.
Supervisor Responsibilities : The Executive Director will supervise the Education Director, Finance Manager, Post-Secondary, Development Director, and Administrative Assistant.
Essential Functions:
- Develop and implement strategies that align with St. Anthony’s Mission and Goals in collaboration with the Diocese of Pittsburgh and St. Anthony School Programs’ Board of Trustees.
- Explores and researches new programs (traditional and non-traditional) and makes recommendations to the Diocese of Pittsburgh and Board of Trustees.
- Work closely with the Board of Trustees and Committees to define and communicate the Organization’s vision and direction.
- Recruit, hire, and manage a strong leadership team and staff.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of St. Anthony’s programs and services.
- Collaborates with the Post-Secondary Program on public school district placement, rates, invoicing, contracts, etc.
- Conducts teacher negotiations and contract.
- Ensure that St. Anthony’s adheres to Diocesan Policy and all legal and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient operations.
- Maintain and update Employee Manual, Parent Handbooks, and Pay Scales.
- Develop and manage the Organization’s budget, tuition rates, and tuition aid.
- Ensures financial stability and sustainability. This encompasses cost containment, expense reconciliation, staff costs.
- Approves requisitions.
- Signs checks.
- Oversee and participates in fundraising efforts, including grant writing, donor cultivation, and fundraising events.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to the Board and other stakeholders.
- Represent St. Anthony’s in the community and advocate for its Mission and programs.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, donors, community leaders, and other non-profit organizations.
- Oversee the development and implementation of marketing and communication strategies to enhance St. Anthony’s public image and outreach.
- Lead St. Anthony’s in the development of long-term strategic plans to ensure growth and sustainability.
- Set and monitor goals and objectives to achieve strategic priorities. prepare for and participate in Board Meetings.
- Provide timely and accurate information to the Board.
- Oversee and participate in Committee Meetings.
- Assist the Board in the development and implementation of governance best practices.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Practicing Catholic
- Master’s Degree in Special Education, Administration/Business or related field.
- Commitment to the Mission of St. Anthony School Programs.
- Five years or more years experience in senior management, preferably with non-profit organizations.
- Strong expertise in operations, finance, public relations, marketing, and fundraising.
- Maintains a valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License.
Terms of Employment:
- ·Employee is responsible for becoming and staying compliant with the Diocese of Pittsburgh’s Safe Environment Database Policy by obtaining and maintaining all required clearances and certifications.
- Complete ACT 168 – Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Release Form.
- Twelve-month position (Benefits per Employee Manual).
- Standard Work Week (Evenings as required).
- Mileage reimbursement between schools only.
