Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
Position Requirements, Licenses, Certifications, Registrations
Current CNA certification may be required for some positions.
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification through the American Heart Association required for interns working in a clinical setting. New hires may obtain certification during onboarding with organizational support.

Job Duties Of Clinical Interns Typically Include The Following
- Assists staff in the delivery of safe patient care, under the supervision of a preceptor.
- Assists in monitoring the health status of the patient or client.
- Performs accurate reporting and recording of patient information, including vital signs, weight, behavior, and mobility.
- Anticipates and responds promptly to patient needs. Reports pertinent information to nursing team member
- Assists in the inventory and maintenance of supplies, equipment and instruments.
- Assists in overall planning, development, and implementation of assigned projects, events, and tasks to support hospital initiatives.
- Compiles and maintains data to create reports, proposals, and presentations. Prepares reports, memos, letters, and other documents using word processing, spreadsheet, database, or presentation software.
- Assists in preparing materials for events, meetings, and correspondences.
- Performs administrative functions in support of departmental operations.
- Attends and participates in scheduled training, observation, educational classes, and workshops.
- Complies with all applicable state and federal regulations.
- Maintains a safe work environment using safe work practices, utilizing standard precautions and complying with hazardous waste procedures at all times as described in the St. Anthony Safety Manual.
- Maintains the confidentiality of donor, patient, resident, employee and organizational information.
