What are the responsibilities and job description for the Student Fundraiser - Summer 2026 position at Iowa State University Foundation Student?
As a student fundraiser at the ISU Foundation Phone Center, you will serve as an ambassador for Iowa State and the ISU Foundation and build professional relationships with alumni, parents, and friends of the university.
The Phone Center is located on campus in Durham Center.
What do student fundraisers do?
- Make fundraising calls to alumni and supporters, soliciting donations to benefit Iowa State University.
- Assist with various mail and digital marketing outreach projects.
- Update constituent information and navigate within our customer relationship management software (CRM).
- Engage with fellow students on campus and educate them on ISU philanthropy.
- Help celebrate and generate excitement for campus philanthropy on our day of giving, Forever True Day.
Qualifications
- Must be registered as an ISU student.
- Be willing to share experiences and communicate effectively with alumni and friends of the university.
- Open to learn new software and communications skills.
- Vibrant and energetic personality.
- Enjoy working individually and as a team with other students.
- Comfortable assisting with photo and video shoots.

The Phone Center is open Monday - Thursday, 4:00 – 9:00 p.m. Available shifts are 4:00-6:00 p.m. and 6:00-9:00 p.m. Student fundraisers must be able to work a minimum of FIVE 6:00-9:00 p.m. shifts per pay period (every 2 weeks). The three-day orientation and training will begin Monday, May 18.
