What are the responsibilities and job description for the After School Program Aide position at St. Anne Catholic School?
Summary:
The job requires supervision of the children under the aide’s care in our after school program. Is a great opportunity for anyone looking for limited hours each week ( M-F 3:00-5:30). If interested in working additional hours could also sign up to be an as needed substitute for during the school day.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Observe all school and diocesan directives.
- Assist the Director of After School with the care of students who range in age from 3-14 years old.
- Assist students with homework
- Assist with keeping the after school room clean and organized
- Assist the teacher with the arrival and dismissal of students.
- Supervise students on the playground.
- Promote order and self-discipline in the after school room, at snack time, and at dismissal, upholding school regulations.
- Help ensure the school culture remains positive and loving towards all stakeholders.
- Foster Christian values and behavior among students.
- Promote the Catholic identity of the school by knowledge and respect for Catholic Tradition.
- Either already be certified in CPR/First Aid or be able to take and pass the training.
Physical Demands/Environment:
Expected to supervise students and the safe environment of the school and may involve work in classrooms, gym, playground and other parts of the facilities.
Will need to have physician complete health form.
Working Conditions:
Work set limited hours with an average of 8-11 hours per week during the school year (3:15 pm- about 5:30 pm).

- Excellent communication skills.
- The ability to work well with children and adults.
