What are the responsibilities and job description for the Activities Assistant position at St. Andrews Retirement Community?
As the Activities Assistant, you will assist in the following:
- Plan, coordinate and implement activities, events, trips and celebrations.
- Engage residents to participate in all planned activities.
- Encourage residents to utilize opportunities to demonstrate their talents and skills within the structure of the programmed activities.
- Organize residents to plan and assist with scheduled events.
- Prepare surveys and encourage response by residents concerning activities and interests of the resident community.
- Communicate and cooperate with Manager(s), vendors, volunteers and pastoral care staff in planning activities.
This position will be 24 hours per week or less depending on need and programming. Some evenings and weekend hours may be required.
Experience in a senior living environment highly desired.
