Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Staff Development Coordinator in our skilled nursing facility. This leadership role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and conducting clinical education and training programs for nursing staff to ensure compliance with Florida regulations, facility policies, and quality standards of care.
The ideal candidate is passionate about education, staff engagement, clinical excellence, and improving resident outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate orientation and onboarding programs for newly hired nursing staff.
- Develop, schedule, and conduct ongoing staff education and in-service training.
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, OSHA, and CMS training requirements.
- Maintain accurate employee education records and competency evaluations.
- Monitor and support infection prevention training and quality improvement initiatives.
- Provide clinical guidance, mentoring, and support to nursing staff.
- Assist with survey preparation and regulatory compliance activities.
- Collaborate with department leaders to identify educational needs and performance improvement opportunities.
- Participate in policy and procedure review and implementation.
Qualifications
- Current and active Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a skilled nursing facility, long-term care, or rehabilitation setting preferred.
- Previous experience in staff development, education, or leadership strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of Florida long-term care regulations and CMS guidelines.
- Strong communication, organizational, and presentation skills.
- CPR certification required.
