Parks Maintenance Tech - Grounds (Full-Time)
St. Andrew's Parish Parks & Playground Commission is seeking a dependable and hardworking Parks & Grounds Maintenance Technician to help maintain our parks, athletic fields, playgrounds, landscaping, and outdoor facilities. This hands-on position is a great fit for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in a job well done, and wants to help create safe, attractive, and welcoming spaces for the community.
Schedule: Generally Monday-Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with occasional overtime opportunities for special events and tournaments.
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour, depending on experience
What You'll Do
- Maintain parks, athletic fields, and outdoor facilities
- Prepare and line athletic fields for games
- Mow, trim, prune, and care for landscaping
- Inspect and maintain playground equipment for safety
- Operate grounds maintenance equipment and tools
- Respond to weather-related cleanup and maintenance needs
- Help provide a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for our community
Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- CPR/First Aid/AED certification (or ability to obtain and maintain)
- Grounds maintenance experience preferred
- Ability to perform physically demanding work outdoors in all seasons
