After School Counselor / Day Camp Counselor (Seasonal)
St. Andrew's Parish Parks & Playground Commission is seeking energetic, dependable individuals who enjoy working with children to join our After School and Day Camp team. Schedule
- After School Program: Monday-Friday, 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
- Day Camp: 7:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. during school breaks (teacher workdays, Fall, Winter, and Spring Breaks)
- Hours vary based on program needs.
Pay
- Starting at $17.00 - $18.50 per hour, depending on experience and ability to drive agency vehicles
What You'll Do
- Lead fun, age-appropriate games, crafts, sports, and other recreational activities
- Supervise children ages 5-12 in a safe and positive environment
- Assist with homework time and encourage positive behavior
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers
- Maintain clean, organized program areas
- Help create an engaging, welcoming environment where every child can thrive
Qualifications
- Must be at least 15 years old
- Experience working with children is preferred
- CPR/First Aid/AED certification required (or ability to obtain)
- Darkness2Light - Stewards of Children certification required (Can provide in-house)
- Must be dependable, enthusiastic, and able to work well as part of a team
- Applicants who meet age and licensing requirements may have opportunities to drive agency vehicles

Salary : $17 - $19
