The St. Ambrose University Physician Assistant Department welcomes applicants to apply for adjunct teaching opportunities for the Gross Anatomy course in the Summer 2024 session (June - August) with the potential to continue in the role in subsequent Summer sessions. The course involves lectures and a gross anatomy lab with cadaver dissections by students in small groups. The Gross Anatomy course could be taught in a team format with lectures, labs, and content areas being divided by content expertise.
The ideal applicant will have experience in teaching and cadaver dissections. Candidates must be credentialed/licensed Ph.D., M.D., or related terminal degree supporting content expertise in biology or anatomy is preferred, master's degree in biology, anatomy, or related area is required; previous teaching experience preferred. Priority will be given to applicants showing a strong commitment to effective teaching. The MPAS program resides in the College of Health and Human Services which serves students preparing for careers in healthcare, education, and human services.
