What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr. Pro - Tennis position at SSYMCA?
Under the leadership of the Director of Racquet & Paddle Sports, the Senior Pro will be responsible for supervising tennis/pickle ball clinics, organizing lesson plans for multiple indoor and outdoor courts, and assist the Director of Racquet & Paddle Sports. The Senior Tennis Pro of Racquet & Paddle Sports will have primary responsibility for direct program instruction of racquet and paddle sports.

PROGRAM MANAGEMENT
Help develop innovative and profitable programming. Directs and supervises program activities to meet the needs of the community and fulfill YMCA objectives.

Develops, coaches and directs staff and volunteers as needed. Helps review and evaluates staff performance. Develops strategies to motivate staff.

FACILITY MANAGEMENT
Works with appropriate branch staff to provide program facilities for members that are clean, safe, adequately equipped, well maintained, and attractive.

Assists in YMCA fund raising activities/events, and engages in collaborative relationships with community organizations in order to strengthen support and build community.

QUALIFICATIONS:

8 years of related tennis teaching experience.

Knowledgeable of advanced and up-to-date tennis instruction.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to climb stairs, bend, stoop, kneel, twist, reach with hands, sit, stand for extended period of time, walk, lift, and/or move up to 25 pounds, have finger dexterity grasp, perform repetitive motions, talk, hear and have visual acuity.
Salary : $35 - $37
