POWDER COATING TECHNICIAN

The Onsite Powder Coating Technician will set up, operate, or tend spraying or rolling machines to coat or paint any of a wide variety of products. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete hourly check sheet, thickness check sheet, and weekly usage sheet.
• Follow schedule of assignment.
• Review Powder Room before the shift and at the end of shift to assure housekeeping meets Company Standards.
• Manage the repair/sort of parts by the end of shift.   
• Blow down booths one time a day.
• Change filters when needed.
• Pass a Pulmonary Function Test (PFT).
• Complete all preventative maintenance work orders as needed and follow them through to completion.
• Break down drums as needed.
• Preform chemical titration of cleaner tanks and make required ads and record.
• Must wear a Respirator when performing work inside Powder booth.
• Fill in elsewhere when Powder booths are not running.
• Must maintain all cleaning on Powder booth and Powder booth guns.
• Maintain wash line system including cleaning nozzles and tanks.
• Communicate with Team Lead via hand held radio

Qualifications, Experience requirements:

1. Ability to follow directions and work well in a team.
2. Ability to read and understand blueprints, drawings, or other documentation regarding quality and customer specifications.
3. Understanding of and the ability to abide by applicable safety and environmental regulations.
4. Ability to read and comprehend manufacturing orders, general instructions, work and safety rules and regulations
