The On-Site Maintenance Technician will lubricate machinery, change parts, or perform other routine machinery maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
Position Supervised or Directed:
Reports to Maintenance Supervisor.
Qualifications, Experience required:
- Ability to observe and follow all safety rules and regulations.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Formal apprenticeship program or higher education in industrial technology.
- Three or more years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Additional work experience may substitute for formal training.
- Working knowledge of the purpose and operations of cutting, forming, welding and industrial Equipment.
- Basic electrical, PLC’s, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical equipment and systems.
- Skills at diagnosing, troubleshooting, and solving mechanical and electrical problems.
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations.
- Sufficient human relations skills to convey technical concepts to others and maintain effective relationships with team members and customers.
- Basic skills in using common personal computer-based business programs.
- Ability to perform a full range of maintenance activities on process equipment, machinery, tools, and facilities systems.
- Ability to diagnose maintenance problems and establish corrective course of action.
- Must be able to understand and follow oral and written instructions, maintain complete records, and interpret plans, diagrams, operating manuals, and specifications.
- Ability to establish a scheduled maintenance plan.
- Capable of operating a variety of machinery, tools, and welding.
General requirements:
- Able to travel to other divisions when required.
- Detailed and hands-on oriented.
Working Conditions:
- Office and manufacturing plant environment.
- Mostly indoors.
- Occasionally exposed to high/cold temperatures, loud noises and fumes.
