Job Description:
The Shipper will verify and maintain records on incoming and outgoing shipments involving inventory. Duties include verifying and recording incoming merchandise or material and arranging for the transportation of products. May prepare items for shipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Operation of powered industrial lift truck to load, unload, and transfer finish goods and materials with a focus on safety, quality, productivity, and accuracy
Unload/Load customer returned product (containers), materials, and components.
Unload/Load intercompany product and transfer to the appropriate storage location.
Unload/Load Ceran product and transfers to the appropriate storage location.
Assists with inventory accuracy by cross checking packing slip with product received/shipped.
Accurately picks and prepares orders for shipment.
Utilizes Orbis tablets for Goods Receipt, Stock Transfers, and Inventory functions.
Stages and loads finished goods product for shipment.
Performs stock alignment to assist with order picking and inventory accuracy.
Transfer finished goods from MPS scanning area to finished goods stock locations.
Assists with container preparation.
Maintains a clean work area (docks, warehouse, outside lot)
Assists with cardboard recycling.
Completes daily lift truck inspection sheet.
Maintains a safe work environment and ensures company and OSHA compliance.
Assists with annual physical inventory.
Other duties as assigned.
Communicates effectively with Operations, Purchasing, Quality, and Logistics teams.
Escalates to Supervisor when discrepancies in shipments or receipts are discovered along with damaged product or materials.
Contributes to team efforts by supporting Logistics and Operational teams through inventory and downtime reductions while maintaining inventory accuracy.
Monday – Friday (8 hours); Overtime as needed/required.
Physical ability, which may include standing, lifting, carrying, reaching.
Frequently indoors
Frequently exposed to high/cold temperatures, loud noises, and fumes.
